Pattabhiramiah
The life and music of the composer of javalis, Pattabhiramiah.
Born in 1863, Pattabhiramiah was also known as Pattabhirama Rao and Pattabhirama Iyer. He spoke Telugu and Kannada, as well as Tamil. He is known for his javalis, dedicated to the deity at the temple at Tatakeswaram near Kumbakonam. Pattabhiramiah has also composed several javalis dedicated to Maharaja Jayachamarajendra Wodeyar of Mysore. Some of his popular compositions are Marubaari Thaalalenura (Khamas), Vaanipondu (Kaanada) and Muttavaddura (Saveri).
